Throughout my life I have been active. Whether it was sports, weight lifting, running, workout classes, workout videos...I've done it all. There have been times in life I have needed to get started again. Times I had taken a break from working on my strength. Sometimes it was after being busy with work, having a baby (now have 3) or focusing on my running and letting the rest slip.

Starting again was hard. It was embarrassing to show up at a workout class and feel like I could barely hang. Home workouts were discouraging when I had trouble completing an entire workout video. Or...let's be honest, when too many interruptions kept me from completing a full video.

That's why I created the Start Line.

After a lifetime in fitness, a bachelors in Exercise Science and a Doctorate in Physical Therapy...I know how to design exercise programs. So I did. I wanted to share it with you too.

It's designed to start where you are, build foundational strength and progressively get harder over time. It's made for the busy person who often has interruptions. Instead of a continuous workout video I give you the exercises. Then, because I'm a professional and form REALLY matters...I include videos demonstrating proper form.

The cheerleader in me comes through to keep you motivated. To keep you focused. To help you realize you CAN do this. Your body can do this. Your schedule can do this.

You can be strong.

This program is for you if you want to build strength while limiting your chance of injury. So many programs push you hard and fast. We want results and now. But that leads to not completing a program. How many have you started and not finished?

The journey is never a simple one, but it’s important. I am on a mission to show you the way. Give you the steps. The knowledge to get you there too. You are strong and you can do it. Being able to have the energy to devote to my family and my career drove me to push through the hard days. Find your why, your purpose and it will fuel you on the days “you just don’t want to.”

I fell in love with fitness and exercise at a young age and pursued know more of the "why" certain exercises, movements and strategies work to heal, recover and strengthen muscles. I am a huge believer in releasing confidence through movement and exercise.

I received my Bachelors of Science in Exercise Science in 2006 from The University of Toledo. I then went on to receive my Doctorate of Physical Therapy from University of Mount Saint Joseph in 2009.

Since then I have helped thousands strengthen their bodies, feel good and do the activities they love with people they love.
